When Greens of Haligonia approached us with their dream of delivering sprouts using a bike trailer, we knew it was going to be a unique and challenging build.
Joanna and Ainsley knew that they were going to need to be able to keep the sprouts cold in the blazing summer heat and warm in the winter cold while delivering all 6 banana boxes full of sprouts.
Our solution was to build a lightweight yet beefy square chassis that an insulated box would sit in. The box frame is made out of pressure treated 2x2's, and the siding is coroplast/foam insulation panels. The entire trailer/box combo weighs in around 80 lbs
Keep an eye out on the streets of Halifax for this big daddy, and the mamas towing it!
